Free listings

Private listings are free during our pilot, with no credit card required. Approved listings run for 30 days. Paid services, if introduced later, will require a separate purchase; a free listing does not authorize future charges.

Your responsibilities

You must be at least 18 and own the vehicle or have authority to sell it. Provide accurate information, actual vehicle photographs you have permission to use, and complete disclosures about title, liens, accidents, and known defects. Do not publish personal contact details, financial information, unlawful content, or misleading images. Mark your car sold or withdraw it when it is no longer available.

Review and publication

Listings require review before publication. We may request ownership or contact verification, reject or remove listings, and restrict abusive accounts. Editing details or photos takes a listing offline until it is submitted and approved again. Approval is not an inspection, certification, warranty, or guarantee.

Private transactions

Private seller vehicles are separate from CarTruvo inventory. Buyers and sellers arrange inspections, payment, title transfer, taxes, registration, and any transportation between themselves. CarTruvo does not collect payment or hold deposits for private vehicle transactions in this pilot. Do not send deposits or sensitive payment information through messages.

Accounts and messages

Protect your password and recovery code. Messages are stored in your account; email notifications and email-based password resets are not yet available. Your name and email are visible to CarTruvo for review but are not displayed in public listings. Your vehicle information, VIN, city, ZIP code, and approved photos are public. See our privacy policy.
