What we collect
When you send a request, we store the contact details, ZIP code, vehicle preferences or vehicle information, price, notes, photos, consent, and submission time you provide. Please do not upload identification, title or financing documents, payment details, or photos of people.
Why we use it
We use your information to review your request, assess possible vehicles or purchases, contact you about that request, and manage follow-up. A phone number does not enroll you in automated marketing texts. The homepage interest list separately asks for consent to email you about launch.
Storage and access
The website uses DigitalOcean and Cloudflare infrastructure to host the application, store requests, and store uploaded images. Administrative records and private offers to CarTruvo require authorized access. Customer accounts store a name, email, password hash, recovery-code hash, login session records, listings, car requests, and messages. Unpublished private-listing photos are accessible to their owner and administrators. Approved listings expose vehicle details, VIN, city, ZIP code, and photos to the public; account emails are not shown publicly. Buyer and seller messages are accessible to the conversation participants. Vehicle photos added to published dealer inventory can also be viewed by website visitors.
Website security
The site uses an IP-derived identifier and submission counters to limit automated abuse. Administrator authentication is handled through Cloudflare Access. Customer sign-in uses a secure session cookie. Passwords and recovery codes are stored as hashes, not plain text. We do not currently send account verification, password-reset, or message-notification emails. This site does not take vehicle payments or accept financing applications.
Updates and deletion requests
To request a correction or deletion, submit a Find a Car request with “Privacy request” in the make and model fields and describe your request in the notes. Use the same email as the original request so we can follow up and verify it. You may also reply to any email you receive from CarTruvo to request that further contact stop.
Before you submit
Only share information relevant to your vehicle request. A submission is not an offer, purchase agreement, reservation, or promise of a vehicle match.
